‘A CHORUS LINE’ Broadway Sensation

These photos taken from NYPL’s Billy Rose Theater Collection, show cast members from the 1975 Broadway musical, A Chorus Line. The musical opened on Broadway on this day in 1975! The original production went on to win 9 of the 12 Tony awards it was nominated for in addition to winning the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In this part of the World, this is some serious stuff. If you’re feeling a little dearing,  perhaps you can get out one of your old Holloween costumes and go for it. Though I must warn you, the Talent at these Competitions is pretty fierce. But who knows, you just might be the Next American Idol or America’s Got Talent Winner Competitor. It all depends on how well you move the audience.
